MNRI

“The first infant movements do not disappear, they continue to work in union with higher nervous formations…”

This method is:

-Interdisciplinary based on neurophysiology, anatomy and biomechanics, psychology, and other disciplines.

-Non-pharmaceutical as it uses movements to activate sensory-motor patterns, manual techniques, and goal setting.

-Non-invasive and uses genetically given sensory-motor patterns to facilitate the regulation of protective/survival and developmental mechanisms.

-Non-verbal in meaning that it is targeting the activation, restoration, maintenance of the extrapyramidal nervous system responsible for automaticity maturation and neurophysiological support for the development of the executive functions of the pyramidal system.

-Science-based with approved research with subjective and objective-driven results

I provide on-going therapy for many of my clients and I also offer focused sessions for clients who are looking to take this work home and do it themselves. For the client looking to continue the work at home I provided a client assessment and education to the parent or caregiver on how to successfully implement a home program.

There is more and more buzz around primary reflexes and their role in brain development. Reflex integration can be used in situations of traumatic birth, life trauma and physical trauma. I’ve used this tool to help clients with hyperactivity feel more grounded in their bodies, aide sleep regulation and to help children and adults overall find better focus and function in their lives.

MNRI can be used effectively to benefit clients who exhibit:

-Cerebral palsy

-Autism

-Global developmental delays

-Traumatic brain injury

-Stroke

-Premature aging

-Challenges with stress management

Intensives

I provide concentrated periods of focused treatment that I call “Intensives”. These are generally a period of treatment 5 hours a day for 5 days in a row. Depending on your needs, I will pull from the various modalities in which I have been trained. An intensive program that is based on MNRI will include neurostructural body education, archetype movement patterns, neurotactile integration techniques, reflex repatterning, and cranial, facial, and oral techniques.

Parent Education/Home Program

This program was designed for families that do not have access to continuing care or are motivated to do the work themselves at home. In this session I provide an evaluation of reflexes that would benefit from integration support and teach parents how to continue the work at home. A Parent’s Guide book will be sent home with you to provide in-depth information about 27 reflexes. This program is for highly motivated family members that really want to be hands on and learn how to work with the client in their own homes. I can’t possibly teach you everything I know in 2 hours; I will teach you the elements that I feel will make the greatest impact for the client and offer support in the way of resources available to you. This can be paired with future ongoing in-person sessions.

$275 for a 2 hour reflex integration consult, treatment, education, and book resource to take home.

Hourly Treatment Sessions

$95/hour. I do occasionally offer in-home sessions for mobility challenged clients. My office location is NOT wheelchair accessible. I can see clients for one time only, but the greatest reward comes from motivated clients who are interested in exploring their bodies for greater ease- this process can take time. Frequency, Intensity, and Duration are keys to making permanent change.
