FAQ’s

How often do I need to have an appointment?

Ideally with the goal of making permanent changes to a nervous system I would like to see a client three times a week for a few weeks and then taper down as indicated by the clients need. There is great room for variation in that though depending on the challenges experienced by the client. I fully respect the limitations of resources, such as time and money, and it is my goal to meet the client and their family wherever they are. For some clients this means that they prefer to do the work at home and use me as an educator and reference, some clients do an intensive followed by periodic check-ins and others prefer that I see the client on a regular weekly basis. The plan of care will vary greatly on the diagnosis we are treating and the clients preferred method of approach.

What do you charge?

I charge $95/hr.

My child won’t lie still on a massage table. Do you think you can still work with them?

I work with children and adults of varying degrees of mobility and cognitive abilities; many are unable to lie still on a massage table. My job is to take in the whole person and recognize where their strengths are. Their bodies are amazing gifts of creation and nothing is done by accident. Every movement and compensation serves a purpose for them. I never aim to take away a compensation without first providing a better and easier way to meet the original need. Once the individual has options, they are free to choose the one that better serves them. To the observer this looks like better regulation, calmer bodies, and less tension.

I am interested in this work but am not able to come for an office visit very often due to distance/finances/schedule/etc.  What options do I have?

There are so many pulls on time for families. I offer a few options for clients who have a caregiver that is motivated to learn to do some work at home. Options include my 2hr MNRI option, education about doing cranial sacral at home, rental of the Safe and Sound Protocol system for home use and rental of a FOCUS system.
